January 10 on 10 – Rainbows

For 2015, I am participating in a ‘blog circle’ with a group of really talented photographers.  It’s called ’10 on 10′.  Each month we create a blog post including ten images we have taken that month.  If you click at the link at the bottom of this post, you will be taken to the next photographer in the circle….and so on, until you eventually end up back where you began! I would highly recommend going through the circle and viewing all the gorgeous work – you will not be disappointed.

So we have no strict theme, just 10 images fitting whatever ‘story’ we decide to tell each month.

January I suppose many think of as a ‘new beginning’ and maybe it’s a cliché but it did seem incredibly appropriate that on January 1st 2015 I found myself shooting a newborn session for a good friend.

This family has been through so much.  In February 2010 their only son Bailey, aged 5 months, went to sleep and didn’t wake up.  I’m so proud of how bravely they have coped.  Bailey had two older sisters, and now he has another three little sisters.  I know how special all six of their children are to Nichola & Ian…and was honoured to photograph the new little addition Robyn Hope…..another little rainbow baby.
